About Sasha
Sasha identifies as an expressive multimedia artist. She was raised by artists with the sentiment that “there is no ‘wrong’ in art” which has been central to her methodology in her own practice and as an educator. She received her BA in Fine Art from Smith College in 2018 and received several awards, including the Elizabeth Killian Roberts Prize for Best Drawing and the Megan Hart Jones Studio Art Prize. She has taught in various media to both children and adults for over ten years, primarily in ceramics, drawing, and painting.
Sasha has held many artistic titles, from Ceramic Studio Manager to Lead Art Teacher. Using her artistic skill as both an outlet and a way to connect, the work she is currently focusing on is large, public-facing art or collaborative projects and events. Her ultimate goal is to harbor a safe and inspiring studio space for artists of all kinds. Most recent and exciting opportunities for her have been participating in AOTA Fest in Fort Lauderdale and creating her own murals. She is currently working on her first illustrated book and actively taking on large-scale painting commissions.
About Classes with Eel Feet
Eel Feet is the silly moniker for classes, workshops, and the Instagram (@eel_feet) run by artist and teacher Sasha Kolomatsky. Teaching art across various media since 2015, Sasha co-launched figure-drawing sessions with Marshall Bone, AKA Mobone Studio, in February 2026.
The goal of this collaboration is to cultivate an unjudged community center for creative practice accessible to anyone. Both Sasha and Mo feel that these drawing sessions have a meditative effect and are actively expanding their creative event roster to include other workshops.
